After 15 years providing outreach services to Wollondilly’s towns and villages, the Dilly Wanderer is being reviewed to ensure that its services continue to meet the needs of a changing community.
The Dilly Wanderer is a free mobile service which currently offers an opportunity for people to come together and make new friends, participate in children’s activities and find out about Council programs and local services.
Mayor Cr Matthew Deeth said, “The Dilly Wanderer is a vital service that works with residents in outlying areas of our Shire”.
“It provides information and referral pathways as well as child development activities and the opportunity for residents to connect socially with other people”.
The van currently pays monthly scheduled visits to parks, halls and sportsgrounds at a range of locations across the Shire.
With new priority areas emerging, Council is seeking community feedback on the effectiveness of the Dilly Wanderer’s current routes, times and activities and ways they can be improved.
