Warragamba DamFest is back!

Warragamba Silverdale Neighbourhood Centre (WSNC) proudly presents DamFest 2022 at Warragamba Recreation Reserve on Sunday 16th October, from 10:00am till 4:00pm. Entry is free.

This will be the return of the popular local event, with the last DamFest in 2019. This year’s celebrations will have all the old favourites and so much more.

The day will begin with Warragamba Netball Club’s 50th Anniversary presentation at 9:30am. Wollondilly MP Nathaniel Smith will officially open the event at 11:00am and from there the fun begins. Warragamba Public School will start the entertainment with some amazing singing and dancing. In-Motion Danceworks will also be there to entertain you later in the day.

Continuing with Marko Bogic, Mark Shay and Monkeys Uncle performing on stage. DamFest’s main stage is again sponsored by Allam Property Group. Local emergency services including NSW Police, NSW Fire and Rescue and RFS will be in attendance, providing information and support for visitors. Sydney Helicopters will be back for joy flights throughout the day. They will have their swap meet, car, bike, and truck show along with food and market stalls galore. The car, bike, and truck show trophy presentation will be at 2:30pm at the main stage.

For kids, it will be an extravaganza. There’ll be rides, a 9D cinema, facepainting and balloon art. KindiFarm will have some beautiful baby animals to pet. The Australian Wildlife Sanctuary is bringing along some amazing native wildlife and feathered friends too. WaterNSW is the major sponsor for the kid’s entertainment and will, as always, provide a bus for any DamFest visitors to go along to the visitor centre and see Warragamba Dam up close.

“We would like to thank all our sponsors, many of whom are local businesses, for their ongoing support. Without them, DamFest could not go ahead. DamFest could not take place without its amazing volunteers, and we thank them too” said Sandra Harlor of DamFest.

“Wollondilly Shire Council has always been a huge supporter of this event and we would like to thank them once again for working so closely with us” she continued.

Warragamba DamFest began as a small community fair in the Warragamba village. After three years, the event had grown too big for the town centre, and it was decided to move to the Recreation Area.

“Wollondilly Shire Council and WaterNSW have always worked with the Neighbourhood Centre to make this day an amazing. Funds raised each year at DamFest go back into supporting this community” Sandra ended.

Come along and join us for an amazing day!
