Santa Claus is getting ready to leave the North Pole this month and he plans to make a very special trip to join the Llandilo Rural Fire Brigade for their Santa Run to Jordan Springs and Llandilo.
Pending the operational requirements of the brigade and their crew, the Santa Run will visit Jordan Springs in December, beginning in the morning where the fire truck will visit various local parks. It will continue again on Christmas Eve in Llandilo. It’s a great opportunity to come and say hi to Santa and take photos. Santa will have lollies onboard for the kids and can only be at each park for 15 minutes as it is his busy time of year.
“With the current fire season upon us, our crew has already been quite busy with callouts. We’ve asked Santa if he can bring some cool weather with him from the North Pole” said Rick Burns, Captain of Llandilo Rural Fire Brigade.
Captain Rick has been a member of the RFS at Llandilo for many years and he always looks forward to this festive time of the year and the cheer that it creates amongst the local community.
“The smiles that we see on the kid’s faces when Santa turns up in the fire truck is priceless. Christmas is a special time of the year and to know that we can bring some of that festive spirit to the community is amazing” he said.
