Last month, Camden Council celebrated the official naming of Perich Park in the centre of Oran Park Town. With the Mayor of Camden, the Hon. Theresa Fedeli hosting the event and Jim Marsden of Marsdens Law Group the master of ceremonies, many of the Perich family were present with a large ensemble of VIP’s including Peter Sidgreaves MP, John Brogden, CEO of Landcom and other dignitaries.

Tony and Ron Perich, along with Theresa Fedeli, completed the naming ceremony with an unveiling of plaques and photos of the family. This was in honour of the Perich family’s contribution to the Camden District for over 70 years.

Local families were treated to a great day out in the beautiful Spring weather, with the event also featuring a jumping castle, petting zoo, face painting, music, live entertainment and morning tea including coffee and gelato.

The park has been named after Kolombo and Julia Perich, who settled in the Camden area in the 1950’s. Now the fourth generation of Perich’s are still managing and operating the family farming and property businesses.

Through the Perich family, Oran Park Town has contributed significantly to the Camden local area in establishing thousands of homes and business opportunities over the past decades and will continue for decades to come.
Perich Park is located on Central Avenue in Oran Park and is across from Camden Council’s Administration Building.
