The Western Sydney Region Veteran Golfers Association (WSRVGA) sent four representatives to Port Macquarie last month, to compete in the inaugural NSWVGA State Medal.
The leading golfers from all active groups/regions were invited to send their leading male and female players to compete in the prestigious event.
The WSRVGA is Group 20 and its representatives were brothers Peter Cromer (Wallacia CC) and Steve Cromer (Leonay GC), along with Sue Evers (Springwood CC) and Carol Carter (Richmond GC).
Evers would carry all before her in the Ladies Division, finishing at the top of the leaderboard on both days and taking out the Medal with a 7-shot margin on the field.
With players restricted to receiving just one major prize in the event, Carter would claim victory on Day Two and sixth overall.
In the Men’s division, Peter Cromer played solidly on both days to secure overall third spot, whilst brother Steve finished out of the placings.
