Wollondilly Library is inviting residents to attend a free book launch with local writer and long-time resident of Wollondilly, James Whitfield.

James will talk about his newly published book ‘Wollondilly in Focus’ on Thursday 13 December at 4.30pm in the View Room at the Library.

The book contains over 500 photographs, predominately in colour. It is not an historical reference book but a pictorial overview of all the towns and villages in the Wollondilly Shire, as seen through the camera lens.

James was born in Picton in 1942, moved to Tahmoor at the age of one and has lived there ever since. Both sides of his family, the Bollards and Whitfields, were early settlers in Wollondilly.

The book will be for sale on the day and signed by James. This would make a great Christmas gift for family and friends, both here and overseas.

Proceeds from sales of this book will be donated to the Macarthur Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service.

Bookings are essential, so contact Wollondilly Library today to book your spot. Light refreshments will be provided.
